Distrust, Identification and Collaboration Effectiveness in Multiparty Systems

Multiparty collaborative systems are created to tackle important societal challenges, yet studies that investigate the relational dynamics of such remain scant. Our study explores role distrust within and between parties, as well identification with one’s own party, in effectiveness multiparty (MPS). We use a behavioral simulation context which distrust, identification, collaboration assessed at three moments time: namely, onset MPS (expectations related group interactions), during interactions, end simulation. The was played 11 times different groups, part an organization development program for large organization. show high initial expectations parties decrease over time, while party has positive influence on effectiveness. Moreover, our results interacts way highest level is reported by low within-group between-party distrust. lowest levels
